General Notice of Election Results for Amended CC&Rs and Bylaws

Dear Homeowners of Kono Tayee Estates,

Thank you to all members who participated in the recent election regarding the proposed updates to our community’s CC&Rs and By-Laws. The ballot count took place on August 2, 2025 at our open meeting at the Beach/BBQ area. 

Below are the official results:

• Total Ballot Envelopes Returned: 100

• Empty Ballot Envelopes: 5

• Board of Directors Ballots Received: 4

• Total Valid Ballots Counted: 91

Results:

• CC&Rs:

• 69 for, 19 against, 3 blank

• Outcome: Did not pass (Required at least 82 “for” votes to meet the 2/3 approval threshold of the entire membership.)

• By-Laws:

• 69 for, 19 against, 3 blank

• Outcome: Passed (Required a simple majority of all members—63 “for” votes—for approval.)

We appreciate everyone who took the time to review the proposed changes and cast a ballot. 

The amended By-Laws took effect immediately - August 2, 2025. The existing CC&Rs will remain in place. The new board will start September 1, 2025 and make a decision on next steps related to amending the CC&Rs.
