Board of Directors

The Home Owners of Kono Tayee Estates is governed by a five-member Board of Directors, elected annually by the membership at the July Annual Meeting. Each Director serves a one-year term, beginning on September 1st.

Board leadership positions include President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Director at Large. Officers are elected in conjunction with the Director elections and work together to oversee the operations, finances, and community interests of Kono Tayee Estates. Contact the board

2026 / 2027 Board Director Nominations Now Open

Election Date: July 11, 2026
Nomination Deadline: May 5, 2026 at 5:00 PM (PST)

There are 3 ways to submit your nominations for Board Director positions. You may nominate yourself or other members. Each nominee must meet eligibility requirements.

All members in good standing are eligible to run for the Board, subject to the eligibility requirements under the Association’s governing documents (Bylaws - Section 7.05) and California law. Nominations from the floor will not be accepted.

🏡 Kono Tayee Committees

Our HOA committees are made up of resident volunteers who help maintain, improve, and guide our community. Serving on a committee is a great way to contribute your skills and make a difference in Kono Tayee Estates. Many hands make light work! If you’d like to join a committee, reach out directly to the committee chair or send us an email and we’ll get you connected.

  • The Architectural Committee reviews and approves proposed improvements or changes to properties, ensuring they align with the HOA’s guidelines and preserve the character of the community.

  • The Elections Committee oversees all HOA elections to ensure they are conducted fairly, transparently, and in compliance with state law and our governing documents.

  • The Canal Committee is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and improving the condition of our community’s canal system to support safe and enjoyable use by residents.

  • The Keeper of the Flag ensures our community flag is respectfully displayed, maintained, and lowered to half-staff when appropriate to honor special occasions or members of our community.

  • The Social Committee is all about fun and connection! From summer BBQs to holiday gatherings and neighborhood happy hours, this group brings our community together with events that make Kono Tayee a great place to live, laugh, and celebrate.

  • The Budget Committee works with the treasurer to establish the annual opearting budget and reserve study.

  • The Roads Committee manages the care and maintenance of our private roads, helping to plan repairs, improvements, and long-term upkeep for safe neighborhood access.

  • The Pier Committee oversees the maintenance, safety, and use of our community pier, ensuring it remains a safe and enjoyable space for all residents.

  • The Friends and Neighbors Committee helps foster a sense of community in Kono Tayee Estates. From welcoming new residents to lending a hand when members need support, this committee is dedicated to building connections and making our community a friendly and supportive place to live.

  • The Beautification Committee is dedicated to keeping Kono Tayee beautiful and well-maintained. From sprucing up common areas to tackling small projects, this team organizes volunteer work parties where neighbors come together to improve and care for our community.

    💡 Many hands make light work! Whether you enjoy gardening, painting, repairs, or just lending a hand, we’d love to have you join in. Volunteering with this committee is a great way to meet neighbors, make a difference, and take pride in our shared spaces.
