Western BBQ Brings Out the Community

Our inaugural Second Saturday community event was a wonderful success as neighbors gathered on September 12 for an evening of Western-themed fun at the Kono Tayee Beach and BBQ Area.

Although Mother Nature kept us guessing with a little afternoon wind, it certainly didn't stop anyone from enjoying a great evening together. Members arrived in Western attire, shared stories with friends and neighbors, and enjoyed another memorable community gathering by the lake.

The potluck table was filled with a variety of homemade dishes. The Social Committee served up delicious cowboy beans, while members contributed an incredible assortment of BBQ favorites, fresh salads, cornbread, side dishes, desserts, and more. The generosity and culinary talents of our community were on full display.

Most importantly, the evening provided exactly what these events are intended to create, an opportunity for neighbors to slow down, connect, meet new friends, and enjoy the unique sense of community that makes Kono Tayee so special.

The Board of Directors and the KTHOA Social Committee extend a sincere thank you to everyone who attended, brought food to share, volunteered their time, and helped make the evening such a success.
