Subject: Memorial Day Weekend & Summer Season Updates
Dear Kono Tayee Members,
Welcome to Memorial Day Weekend and the official kickoff to the 2026 summer season at Kono Tayee!
We’re looking forward to a great summer ahead and are excited to see everyone back enjoying the lake and community. The lake level is looking good this year at approximately 6.9 Rumsey, which should make for excellent boating and recreation conditions.
As we begin the season, please remember to be a good neighbor, practice safe boating, and help keep Kono Tayee a safe and enjoyable place for everyone.
Boat Launch & Dock Reminders
The boat launch and swim docks have been re-installed and are now ready for use.
Please remember:
The East side of the floating dock (nearest the swim dock) is for launching, loading, and unloading only.
The West side of the dock is designated for parking and overnight mooring.
The launch side of the dock has a 15-minute limit and is not for long-term or overnight mooring.
Beach Parking Reminder
Parking at the beach area is limited to active beach users and temporary boat launching and loading/unloading activities
Please do not leave vehicles or boat trailers parked long term at the beach or launch area. Boat trailers should be moved immediately after launching.
Aquatic Weed Treatment – Tuesday 5/26
Please note that the next aquatic weed treatment for the boat launch, swim area and parcel B has been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 26. Additional information and temporary access restrictions are posted on the website and by the mailboxes.
Open Board Meeting – Saturday 5/23 at 9:00 AM
The Board of Directors will hold an Open Board Meeting on Saturday, May 23 at 9:00 AM. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Memorial Day Community BBQ – Saturday 5/23 from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Memorial Day Community BBQ Announcement - Everyone is invited to attend the Memorial Day BBQ organized by the Social Committee on Saturday, May 23 from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Event details are available on the HOA website and link above.
Fireworks Reminder
Please remember that fireworks are not permitted within Kono Tayee Estates due to significant fire danger and safety concerns.
